Have you ever had your LSR nut spill it's guts on you, bouncing little ball bearings all over your chest and floor?

It happened to me Saturday as I was changing strings. Now, my guitar is spending quality time with it's favorite guitar tech. Oh, joy.

I don't have one, but I've heard a few guys on the forum complain about that. Apparently you have to be very careful to NOT do this when you're changing strings.

I was thinking about an LSR nut if my current nut has a problem; however, after reading this post I am re-thinking that. I don't want to be stuck searching the floor for a ball bearing. I have a hard enough time keeping track of that little Tremelo arm screw (not that it is necessary).

That was actually the easy part. Got a magnet out, scooped them up, put 'em into a ziplock with the rest of the new strings and packed up. The really irritating part is that the guitar is now in the shop for the rest of the week, and I have a brand new HRDeville 410 that I got on Christmas morning going unused. That's just criminal!!! Criminal, I say!!!

With any luck I get the guitar back around the same time my new Maxon OD-9 pedal comes. Meanwhile my Martin and I are getting familiar again.

That sucks dude. I hate having my axe in the shop. I guess that is why I kept my ESP, just in case. Hope you get it out soon. I know I used to feel empty when my guitar wasn't with me at home.

Yeah I was also thinking long ago about installing an LSR nut on my MIM but I did a little research and this seems to be a very common complaint among LSR nut owners so I decided to go just for a graphtech nut ... and Im glad I did because it works fantastic :)

That is a good endorsement. I have some possible issues with my nut, not sure yet. I'll keep that in mind.

I currently own four guitars with the LSR's on them, I've never had anything like this happen. In fact, my 1980 X-1 Strat has never been able to stay in tune as well it does now.

Again, a very good endorsement for LSR nuts. Hmmm...choices, love them.

My condolences Bro.
I've heard that this is a danger with the LSR nuts.
Talk about losing your marbles.
