I was just wondering where I can find a string through body hardtail strat? Preferibly not a custom shop price but anything helps. I have not seen one at my local guitar center, or in general for some time. (MIA, or MIM does not matter...) :?

Thanks!

Guitar center was selling them online for around 775.00 USD. I have a 78 hardtail Strat great sustain a little harder to play then a regular Strat [need more down force to fret]But for this little bit of difference its well worth the trade off for the greater sustain and tone.Good luck i Also see them on online auction sites all the time.

The MIM Robert Cray Standard is a through body hardtail.

what do you think about the (MIM) robert cray? Is it worth the 6 or 7 hundred or should i just get the (MIA) model? I have not played either yet I am trying to track one down. I would rather play both before ordering one. Which I am sceptical about anyway, because I like to get the feel of a guitar before I buy it as apposed to ordering it and hoping for the best.

Thanks

Yep the Robert Cray Strat is a hardtail. Be sure to try it first! The neck may or may not suit you and a hardtail sounds a little different, but not in a bad way.
