Ok i finally decided. The neck blend pot and master tone is my fave.

Closely followed by the earvana nut and the clapton mid boost. All i need to do now is find a way to add the mid boost by switch rather than pot, which is being used for the blender control.

Cool!! Where are you in TN? We are moving to Clarksville first, staying with my brother in law for a few months, and then to one of the surrounding towns of Nashville, Franklin, Murfusburo, ya know. My wife is from Clarksville and I LOVE it there. I think we may need to stay in touch for sure.

I am in Murfreesboro, so I guess I'm in your target zone. Nice place. Like it here for sure.

I pretty much always upgrade the pickups.
DiMarzio or Seymour Duncans depending on what I intend to use the guitar for.
Locking tuners too.

Earvana nut FTW! Ive always wanted to do the neck blend pot and master tone but i am not experienced in wiring anything. Is it very easy to do and can it be accomplished on a fender american deluxe strat with a HSS?

Have done it all to Strats. Here's a list of mos I've done:

Changed out stock p/u's

Routed out for humbuckers to go in

changed out truss rods (wouldn't consider that an easy mod)

split the coil in 'buckers & single space 'buckers

changed out tuners

intalled LSR nuts

installed push/pull pots

installed TBX pots

changed out caps

installed FR bridges

sanded & "re-profiled" necks

Recently bought a paint gun & an airbrush so I'm getting in to repainting geetars.

It's all good.

My favorite mod for Strats is shielding the entire pickup cavity with copper foil tape. It does reduce noise and hum. Be sure to ground the foil to the ground wire that contacts the bridge. You can get the foil in 2" wide rolls at www.stewmac.com (Stewart MacDonald). It looks cool, too!
