I was thinking about putting a red lace sensor pickup in the bridge and leaving the rest of the stock pickups alone in order to make it more versatile. What do you guys think.

I like that the tinkling sound of the strat but every now and then I like to do some crunchy power chords or something. Would the above setup work well for this?

I put a SD HR-1 in the bridge position of one of my strats, and that thing gets an amazing crunchy distortion. I haven't tried the red lace sensors. but I know the Hot Rails will do the trick.

I have a red lace in the bridge position, a white lace in the middle, and a standard issue in the neck position.
No lack of balls with this set up. You won't regret it.

I think that would work! Unless youre like using the 4th pickup selection where you might be mixing high output with low output but I'm thinking of doing exactly what youre thinking about!

Billy Corgan used to use those in the bridge position of his strats
