Hey all i have a Fender Deluxe Stratocaster SSH. I love it to death but there are some things i want to change on it and i am not experienced in soldering and such. First off i was wondering what Rory Gallagher did to his tone POTs i believe he switched and resoldered it so that one knob controlled all the tone. I was wondering how i could accomplish that being an amateur solderer and have no experience with electronics at all. Can anyone point me in the right direction and list some supplies i would need and maybe some instructions? Thanks in advance. Also i was wondering how some Pearly Gate humbuckers would sound or a duncan 59 would sound in the humbucker position.

I believe you could make one tone pot be the master tone by just moving one wire .... but it would be way too hard for me to walk you through it.

Have you found the wiring diagram for your guitar? That would be a good first step.

Look at the Support link above.

Unfortunately your pickup configuration is going to make that very hard. It is doable but your humbucker is going to need a pot with a much higher value than the single coils. You could possibly try a 500k pot but what you would most likely end up with is 2 single coils that sound too bright and a humbucker that sounds too dull.
