I didn't think this thread would be worth reading but I was wrong. It is great to guess the age of each poster based on their first riff.

For me, it was the Secrect Agent Man theme. I had forgotten all about this little gem until someone else mentioned it.

Based on the riff and my memory skills, you all now know my age group....

It was the intro to "Crazy Train" by Ozzy. The "Tribute" album had just come out. That was the CD that made me pick up a guitar.

Mine was "Twice As Hard" by Black Crowes. I remember because I didn't know how to tune the guitar either, so the open tuning made it a breeze to mimic.
