Trogdor by Strong Bad

Perhaps unconventional (and lacking serious rock cachet), but it was great fun. Just tune to drop D and rock away!

put me down for 'smoke on the water,' too. it's like 'chopsticks' for guitar.

That and the old Batman theme song. I did pick that one up fairly early in my learning.

"Day Tripper" - Beatles (duh)

I'm a lefty and I can play it lefty or righty. OK, I know, not that big a trick but, after all, I've played that riff longer than anything else as...it was my first. Any you always remember your first, right?

Love,
Todd

A friend taught me the Ventures' 'Walk Don't Run" before I had my own guitar. Ran into him a few years after, and taught him the right way to play it.

:D

Still love that song.

I love Trogdor! I watch Strong Bad with my son. I wouldn't worry about the "rock cachet", cool is cool. Even if it's getting burninated.

PS I have the t T-Shirt.

Love,
Todd

AND...you're from LIVERPOOL! How cool is that!

I live between the Plaza Hotel and the Ed Sullivan theatre, btw. - 3 minute walk from each.

Do you live near one of the Beatle sites?

Love,
Todd

1. Smoke on the water
2. Iron Man
3. You really got me-Van Halen Version

And I think its great to see these songs, along with alot of the other great songs mentioned are still being played by bands today. Some riffs are just meant to be timeless classics.
