Hi guys,
Again, just for fun. Besides...everybody loves pictures, right? :)

When I bought my Strat, I was set on getting it in Sienna Sunburst and had my choice of two.
I picked the one that played and sounded best, looks had nothing to do my decision.
The Strat I bought weights 7 lbs on the nose and has a twangy snap to it. It's exactly my idea of what a Strat should sound like!
The Strat I did not buy weighed in at 8.3 lbs and didn't have as great of a sound. Although, it did sound fuller.

As I did my A-B comparison, the weight difference was apparent. The one I did not buy felt like a truck when I picked it up.
So, just based on looks...which one do you like more? Strat 1 or Strat 2.

I did this very same poll over at G***** Forums a while back and I believe the end result was 10 10.
I bought No. 2..,and yes, I've taken the sticker off. :D

Well strat 1 had heavier grain characteristics so i went with that. Both are beautiful guitars. Either way you got a beauty!

Yeah I agree with you about the grain.

You said Strat no.2 played better, so I would've made the same decision.

Hello R9,

Last spring when I went to a local music store
He had three sunbursts{only one on display}
Well I know the guy and Benny got them all out
for me to take around the block.

I never really looked over any of the trio
I just judged by sound and feel.
I chose the best one for me. 8)

Cheers.

PS: the store is Benny Centiolli's in Philadelphia

I like the wood on guitar # 1 more than I do #2...Both are real nice looking guitars. I would have to play them to decide which is the best. Looks likeyYou chose # 2, again...nice guitar.

I like the brighter colors. I'll take the one on the right. I assume that's #2.

I prefer the lighter grain on no.2
I don't like my "bursts" too grainy
Both are very nice looking though

When I posted this at the other forum, a guy thought Strat No. 1 looks like a part of the female anatomy.
I got a good laugh...:)

I like the more pronounced grain on #1. I mean, if you're going with woodgrain, you want to see it don't you? #2 could have just been painted.

Now that you mention it, kinda does. That maybe what I liked about it.

I like #2 better as well. Strong wood grain looks good sometimes, and mostly when it's NOT a burst finish. When you have a burst finish, AND all this obvious grain showing, AND a pearl pickguard - it just look vomitous. Too much going on looks like azz.
