Hello good folks in the strat forum.Last week I picked up a strat on ebay.Lady said it belonged to an ex who owed her bucks.Anyway,It is olympic white with red pickguard,22 fret, and I found out it is a Buddy Guy signiture when I got it.Played very little and in excellent condition. The serial is AR0117404.I cannot find this # anywhere on the site or elsewhere.Anyone got an idea of the year? Was told by seller possibly 2 years old. Thanks for any insight and merry christmas to all !

Yeah I'm pretty sure he just accidentally wrote down the wrong number.

You have to upload your pics to photobucket or a site like that and then hit the img button here on your post

Does it say where it was made? I don't see any "AR" serial numbers listed for US, Japanese, or Mexican instruments.

The other alternative is that this is a Korean instrument, which Fender doesn't list serial numbers for, or that it is a Fender Japan only meant for the Japanese market, which Fender wouldn't have on this site.

Well,Ihave tied to cut copy and paste pics with no luck and the carrier is hp and I cannot get the pics to img here so give me a day or so and will figure out something to send pics of this fine looking and playing strat. Also there is nothing to indicate a fake or made anywhere else other than us to which I think is california.Ibeleive it is a reissue of a Buddy Guy from somewhere around 1994 or 1995 but there is no polka dots and like I said it is white with red pickguard.Go on ebay and look up Buddy Guy strats and see what comes up.Did it a couple of days ago and 2 came up $750 start bid on one and the other was $1500.Gave $345 for this.Later, gadindixie
