Good Day. I've just had a buddy of mine offer to sell me a couple of guitars. The one i'm interested in is a mexican made strat 1997 SSH. It has vintage tuners. Anyone know what the guitar is ? He told me it was a Jimmy Vaughn tex mex. I don't think so. As far as I remember the JV was all single coils. Any info would be appriecated. Thanks Chris

Could you get any pix? It might be a standard with vintage tuners put on in aftermarket, or it could be a JV with a new pickguard put on with SSH configuration. :?:

Sorry, camera is broke, hoping for santa ! But the guitar is original, I remember when he bought it. It's been it its case for about ten years and hardly ever used. Did Fender make a standard in 97 with hss and vintage tuners, they must have. ser # MN779247

It could be that either the pickups or the tuners were put after :)
