Here is my baby! Image

It is a classic player 50's stock (so far). Well, I did add strap locks. I'm thinking about rewiring it to the standard strat wiring. It came from the factory with the neck and bridge pups wired together.

Everybody has such nice guitars and a passion for them. I think this is something not everyone understands.

thankya! i really love the old fenders!
especially the american vintage '57, but i could never afford it...
the only woe i have with this is that the pcikquard is pure white, which takes away from the "look"

You could try to get a "aged" pickguard.

would that require me to switch over all electronics as well?

As promised, here are up-to-date pics of my 2007 Deluxe Players Strat. It's an Ash body in 3-tone sunburst w/ gold hardware, and tortoise-shell pickguard and backplate.

I've had her (Layla) for a year now and I LOVE my Strat!

Thanks man, I was going for a unique look and i think I found it.
I found a guy on ebay that does them up. He also has the 3 single coil setup loaded with Humbucker style singles so no 60 sec. hum. Also, he loads The one like mine with a Burstbucker and is wired for coil tapping. Let me find his email and I will pass it on to you.

When I bought my MIM, my first Fender, I went to a chain music store, that had all of their inventory, on the wall. So selection was thin, I was geeked to buy one, and they didn't have what I had in mind after I drove an hour to get to the store, so I settled for this sunburst standard. I just can't seem to find a pick guard that compliments it for my liking. I am still a beginner, and already want a different Fender. I'd stick with a Strat if I ever did change colors.

if anyone wants to know where to get the pickguard like this, email me and I will let you know. They have this kind and the s/s/s/ configuration, loaded and just the pickguard, the loaded come with killer pickups and the single Humbucker has coil splitting vol. knob and is wired that way. The s/s/s has mini humbuckers so you dont get the 60 cycle hum with a 3 single coil config with a big sound, and they are very reasonable. Killer upgrade to your strat, holes line up perfectly, I didnt have to do any drilling or routing of anykind, this is my 06 MIM Strat.
