I recently replaced a damaged Charvel reverse headstock neck with a nice Jackson neck with a standard righty headstock. The Jackson neck did not come with tuners, and I have this nice set of Gotoh lefty tuners from my reverse headstock broken neck. I mounted one up, and aside from the knob post lining up on the other side of the string shaft, it seems to work. My question is, will the tuners stay in tune with the strings pulling on them in the opposite direction??? Are the gears inside the tuners only meant to rotate in one direction? It looks kinda weird with the knob shafts closer to the fretboard, if you know what i mean. But I am trying to make this guitar playable with what I have on hand.
