The new EVH Wolfgang looks a lot like the Peavey Wolfgang. I think Eddie has moved into the marketing side of the music business and away from the music making side.

It's really sad but i believe strat-brat is right. Unfortunately along with sobriety came the love for money. It sucks but "EVH", will never be the same.

The article is really good. It talks about how he i doing this so other people can get the mods he has worked on from all his career. It looks like a pretty sweet guitar. Eddie sounds really picky about his tone, though! It'll probably cost a fortune... :(

I hate to say it, but if the new Wolfgang is like the Peavey, it will be amazing!

The USA that I had was far and away one of the best guitars that I have ever had. Car accident forced me to sell it. Regretted it ever since.

Thanks; Synkronized…I picked up the Feb o0 issue of Guitar World.. good article/interview…I don’t know about the Stainless Steel frets though.. To me Stainless Steel just sounds too brassy/ metallic for my taste; I think that is why I hate the sound of the Parker guitars. Eddie said in the interview he would need to replace the nickel frets every half of a tour…..I don’t know if I buy into that.. I don’t believe he dose that much bending to wear frets that fast. ( half of a tour?) that’s under 200 hours of playing by my best guess…. Like Strat-Brat said, I believe this is marketing to sell his product ….any body ever heard of frets wearing that fast….I have Guitars I have had for 20 some years and have never worn nickel frets that bad, and have far more that a few tours of playing on them. I play mostly Blues (all I do is bend)…. Let me know what you guys think about stainless steel and if you have ever seen nickel wear that fast….

I'm betting that his Guitar will cost at least around $1,200-$1,300.00. Look at how much they wanted for the reproduction of his Frankenstrat-$25,000.00. It's not like Eddie needs the money.

It wouldn't surprise me if I heard that he DID need the money.

Hi, Yeah I dont know about how fast can frets get worn out .... I also never played a guitar with stainless steel frets but I kind of like the idea of them hehe... anyway yeah the article mentions interesting points like the placement of pickups in the harmonic spots .... its very interesting but also it is a bit exagerated for propaganda purposes.. I still like the looks of that guitar it must be an awesome axe :)

I don't think his Amp is "way" overpriced. For a 3 channel "high end" 100 watt that sounds great, 1900 isn't so bad. You want overpriced, look at the Marshalls. Price wise, I think these will be priced maybe on par with the USA Peavey HP's. Maybe cheaper as some of these production models are not produced in the custom shop.

I'll order one as soon as they're out,but I really would like to know how much they are.Seems to me that Fender would release more about the guitar if they were really interrested in selling them.I guess when your as big as Fender you couldn't really care less what joe blow the consumer whats to know.

I hope the $2999 is not true! one more week to wait for the truth!
I could live with $1500 but anything more and I will not be buying one.
I own a first year quilt (1997 Peavey Wolfgang) and If I remember that one cost around $1700 and I still play it today.. very nice guitar!

I would love to buy this guitar next week but will not be able to spend $3000

According to Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics: $1,700 in 1997 equals $2,250 today. Is that a reasonable price point?
