Been busy enjoying my new Am cherry burst /maple neck strat.Besides being a beauty the feel is unique. The frets are perfectly rounded that it has a v smooth feel. The strings felt tighter though so I tried altering the set up giving it more bow hoping it would help on the bends. The bends are a bit easier now,but I eventually learnt that the scale length is a bit longer than a Les Paul so we cant expect too much on bends. It's not too bad on that side though,so I guess once I get used to the new feel it shouldn't be a problem.Slides are like magic on this guitar & gives you some unique ideas in playing. The S1 switching is a great add on & gives you great variety of tones. Not too much choice on brighter bell like tones though like the Lace sensor.I wonder if anybody tried using different pups on this guitar.(let me know ).Overall the pups & the S1 switch gives you some great tones.
I haven't played on too many deluxe strats but I did find some of the rosewood necks had a softer feel than the maple.I wonder why each guitar has a different feel when they all are made by machines with the same specs. If anybody has comments on setting up the AM deluxe let me know.Let me know what is your experience with the AM deluxe.
This guitar is a blessing!

Hey JC! Glad to hear you finally found yourself a Strat - and a nice one at that.

It was a long search, wasn't it?

Enjoy!

Cheers - C

Yuppers.Except the grains seem a little deeper & there is more contrast.I will put it up soon. But I guess it's still on sweetwater.com. They show the exact pics of the guitars they sell.
