It's a super small practice amp. What are you expecting out of it? Is is "good" for practicing in your bedroom? Probably. "Good" for the holy grail of tone that you can gig with? Probably not.

It really depends on the tone you're looking for, doesn't it? Try YouTube to see if anyone is demoing any of the amps and listen to determine if you like the tone.

Personally, I have no interest in a Gdec. It has features that I'd never use.

Small, boutique amps tend to be one-trick ponies. You should love that one tone if you put out that kind of money ($1.5K and up). I prefer a clean tube amp at around 15 watts that I can use with effects for practice in the home, recording, and small gigs that gets a nice, overdriven sustain at high volume. 5 watts would be better for home practice, but I aim to achieve as much variety of tone as I can with as little gear and as little expense as possible.

I am not a fan of the G-Dec but the Woody Pro I have played before and it is a fine amp and it does get loud (15watts tube!) not a board. I thought the Woody sounded better then the Vibro Champ by a mile and I think the Vibro is Good sounding amp so that tells you what I thought of the Pro Woody. I would not mind having one but I thought I would never hear the end of it when I bought my Budda Superdrive 18 even though I sold a Budda 30 to buy it. I like amps that are lower wattage somtimes 30 45 50 just seem to much unless you are playing big gigs and even then you can always mic. Plus I think you can dial in that sound with a 18,15,5 watt ,you no thats what goes in the studio with many when they want it doing recording.

I can't say I have that one then. I'm more along the lines of the colliseum edition.

The Fender 57 is anything but a one trick pony. It's a 5e3 Tweed circuit. It is very dynamic and it lives and breathes. It's the only one out of that group I would even consider even though you could build one yourself for half the price. It's a real simple circuit.

I would go for an NOS Blues Junior if you're considering the Woody. For 549.00 you get the better Jensen speaker and it's wrapped in a nice tweed wrapper. More bang for your buck. Sounds good at bedroom volume and is loud enough to gig with.

Sync.
Its a handwired p2p customshop amp. Limited edition too. That should tell you all you need to know.
Theres 2 for sale in the uk. One at glazgow £550 and one in luton for £480 putting them around the $7-800 mark. I'd kill for one, but have 4 amps and a diy kit arriving soon.

Hello Synkronized,

Lucy Brown said it.
Get a Blues Jr. for everything you'll need.
then get a pro or 600 when you get the
hankering for a little amp.

Cheers.
