I'm finally getting back into playing my Strat after a long dry spell. I've decided to play at home using my laptop. I've been searching the net for music and found numerous backing track sites. Which ones are the best for what I want to do? Also, are there any computer programs out there that you can use to cut the guitar track(s) out of a CD?

Thanks, David

I've tried guitarbt.com, guitarbackingtracks.com and freshbt.com.

They are good sites but I feel that there has to a be better site.

Thanks for your reply.

David

Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting a loop station. I find that web backing tracks are most of the time fuzzy and at best, only close to what I want to hear. I'm not sure though on which brand, I have to test a few of them.

Claude.

Try Band in the Pocket. I've got a couple of their blues CDs and feel they are great. I use them a lot.

M.J try datamusic.org. Lots of blues tracks. You can just save the whole page. Mike

I make my own with a midi keyboard and loops. If there's anything special that you're looking for, post an addy where I can reach you at and what type tracks you'd like (add key and BPM if you'd like).

A while ago, Guitar Center had a bunch of "King of the Blues guitar" backing tracks that were really good on their website. I was able to save them and burn them onto a CD. Check their website. It included different tempo's, keys, shuffles, etc.

I'm looking for songs like Foed around and feel in love by Elvin Bishop and a lot of Motown. What I've found so far is cheezy midi tracks. I need more of an MP3 format. I'm thinkig about doing a one man band gig.
