If you built the guitar yourself they won't give you one.

Do an ebay search for 'Stratocaster waterslide decals' - Keep in mind that Fender shuts these people down as soon as they come to their attention so act fast if you find a good source.

Waterslide decals are the old school style- they go on like temporary tattoos and you can either leave them like that or lacquer over them.

Good luck with that. I followed their "directions", took about 20 pics of my '62 reissue that had an unfortunate accident....That was about 8 months ago. Really makes me ugly because I know what it is. Don't think they really care. :x

You could always draw on your guitar's headstock with a magic marker to make your own logo and REALLY call that guitar yours. :D

If you built it why do you want it to have a Fender decal? You can get a Water slide kit and design and make your own slide using a ink jet printer and the paper and liquid supplied in the kit. Name it or call it what ever you want you built it not Fender . Show your stuff off.

You all had to go there and make me have flashbacks...
Short and sweet.

Guitar on stand, painting apartment, paint thinner (do you see where this is going?) Walking past guitar, which was in another room by the way, with said gallon of paint thinner.
Dropped bottle, cap exploded...

Finish melted off neck like that dudes face in the first Indiana Jones movie.

Cried remainder of evening.

Did you write to Fender and post the pictures all by yourself or went thru a Fender Local Dealer for the decals?

No, I went through my local Fender dealer's Tech (Who is very good by the way) He also told me "Good luck with that". Very frustrating...
He is all set to re-finish the neck for me if he ever gets a decal.................................

I see someone who may be restoring a Fender neck that just has to be worked to make it playable wanting a slide. But if I buy a hgh quality neck for 3 to 5 hundred and I put it on a MIM body I do not care if it has a fender decal that neck is worth more then the one that came off that said Fender.
