Oh boy..so many names...let´s see..

First Dave Murray. I´m a huge Maiden Fan.. I´m actually into all this rock´n´roll thing because of Maiden. First time I ever heard them was way back in 1983..Since then I became a total frak about them, about rock and about guitars.

David Gilmour.. can anyone get any better than him ? The guy is a genious. When you look at him playing, it gives you the feeling that everything is soo easy..

Ritchie Blackmore. Awsome !!

I´ll stick with these three.

Eric Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, and even Larry Carlton played a Strat for awhile. It seems to me that most of the really innovative players play (ed) a Strat.

To too many but youd have to go with guy who looked at the strat , swallowed it. spit it back out . turned it upside down and backwards, and the rest as they say is history. James Marshall Hendrix hands down. made the strat what it is today.

His technique and sound are often imitaded, but never duplicated. And all you that like to list Robin Trower, a better copy cat is Frank Marrino of Mohaogany Rush, he gets a better sound then Robin and does it on a Gibson custom SG.

My favorite would be Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Kirk Hammett. I never knew that Kirk would play a strat but I saw a picture of him playing a strat.
