Hey everyone,

I stumbled across a small piece of paper inside my guitar case the other day saying "assembled in mexico" and the inspector's (I think) name.... Are all fender guitars regardless of MIA or MIM assembled there? Mine is MIA, so I'm a little confused.

I have never herd of a Made in American guitar being assembled in Mexico.

I have absolutely NO proof for what I'm about to say:

I'd bet there's quite a bit of MIA stuff which has some sort of MIM involvement.

This is merely my opinion. As always, YMMV.

They can get away with outsourcing the cabinet work because the amps don't say Made in USA.

The day that verbiage disappears from Fender headstocks is the day I stop buying Fender and start buying Gibsons.

I thought I read that the only pickups that are made in the USA factory are the ones used in Custom Shop guitars.

I swap out the stock pickups for Seymour Duncans or DiMarzios anyhow.
