Very nice indeed. A bit different. But very nice.

It's funny. We tend to go through phases of hero worship on this forum. It was David Gilmour a few weeks ago. Now I guess it's Jeff Beck's turn. 8)

Enit, he's a very timeless player. He's not called the guitarists guitarist for nothing.

Thanks Niki... now I'm stuck in You Tube watching guitar videos.......Jeff Beck knows his way around that Strat.

Yup, and especially if it's instrumental rock, such as surf. Then again, I clicked the Jeff Beck - "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" link, and he proved that you don't always have to play a Strat loud. I think whenever I start recording my various original instrumentals, and original arrangement of existing instrumentals, I'll have to see what I can do with the Star Wars Theme a la Strat.

No offense, but Jeff Beck never did move me. I recognize his skill as a player, but I don't like his songs.

One of the things I've always found enthralling about Beck is his tendency to be "right on the edge of disaster" much of the time when he is really playing hard.

His toes will be hanging over the cliff and he's leaning waaaaay out there ready to crasha and burn. Many times he pulls it off and steps safely away from the cliff edge (until the next time :D ).

Sometimes he crashes in spectacular fashion.

regardless of the outcome, it's always inspiring.
