I'm not a fan of a lot of bling, but that looks fantastic.

Very cool:) Very tasteful and not overdone at all.

What model of guitar is that? I see some obvious planks in the wood.

Dgonz, its a mexican squire series neck with a aftermarket african mahogany (sappele) body. Theres only the neck on it thats original now.

Cool! Gold screws on the 'guard, too?

Niki, is that your tone thingy still clipped to the top of the headstock? I thought you were sceptical about that gizmo?

Cheers - C

Ceri,
Theres gold everything except the neckplate which i forgot about. Yep im still using the foulfinger. Look closely, I use it to clamp another sustain block onto the back of the headstock, it seems to smooth the treble a bit.
I can highly reccommend the wilkinson trem unit. Its the retrofit model with slotted screw holes. It flew straight into the old holes, and the blocks good too. Allowing me to clamp the old callaham onto the headstock.

I had a Sapele Larrivee they are brighter than mahogany with faster louder attack ...How is it compared to Alder or Ash on electric ? Happy playing.

Very trebley and yes lots of attack. If i set my amp for this guitar then i cant just plug anything else in afterwards without making drastic dial changes. It does ring a very pure tone though, almost acoustic sounding. It doesnt handle gain well at all unless the mid boost is on atleast 4.
