I dont know, everyone seems to go with two lead players, I dont know how good that would be. Seems whenever two lead guitarists get together, it turns into a battle. I guess if it where a back and forth battle, I'd like to see Hendrix and SRV, not just because they're two of my favorites, but to see what Jimi thinks of Stevies takes on his songs. In the context of a band, it would have to be a great rhythm player and lead player, or else it would end of suffering from the "super group syndrome". Although, the yardbirds managed to do it well for a while.

I had a dream kind of like that. Me, Jimi and Stevie jamming. They kicked my butt.

But yeah, that would absolutely be the best concert ever. :D

I had a Dream kinda like that, too. I was on stage with Stevie Ray, Jimmy Vaughan, Robert Cray, and Eric Clapton (I don't know where Buddy Guy was), when it came time for my lead break, I hit a D chord and it didn't sound good at all, it was all out of tune. They Looked at me like I was a Joke, except Eric. He just looked away, took the lead over, and walked to center stage.

When I woke up I thought, "Duh, that guitar was tuned to open G."

Since I started playing guitar, I thought a great combination of passion, originality, and emotional playing could be achieved by Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck. Together they would stretch out the guitar vocabulary!

Hey StratHeads-

SRV and Jimi would have been be a show of a lifetime- Both great Lead and rhythm players so they would have comped each other nicely-

Warren Haynes and Jerry Garcia- With The Dead or the Allman Brothers backing them up-

Santana and Trey A. of Phish

Duane Allman and Rory Gallager- Awsome choice.....

Of Course I will open for them and then Join in at the encore Jam

The Freeze

I wonder what

Eric Johnson

and

Guthrie Govan

would do together. That would be an insane mess of music theory and enough cleanly fast-picked jazzy chromatics to make you throw up all over yourself.
