I always did like that color combination of the guitar on bottom right! What is it called? Very nice collection! 8)
ps I'm sort of color blind . I don't know if the guitar is black or a root beer color.

The Strat is Montego black, which is cool up close, but in pics it either looks brown or dusty. :D

Thanks man. I also like the color of the pg. I'd like a brownish color body with a gold or tan color pg. I'm sort of a weird egg! A maple neck is a must.

If I were to buy another electric, it would be a Gibson SG. It fit almost as well as my Strat.

I think it's unanimous. A Gibson LP. Preferably a sunburst or tobacco burst with some p-90s. Sweet sounding things they are!

Am I the only one who doesn't like Les Pauls? I had a custom many years ago before I got my first USA Strat and whilst it was definitely solidly built, I found it cumbersome and uncomfortable to play. I bought a Yamaha SA2200 earlier this year as I wanted a 335-type guitar but didn't want to pay Gibson money. Boy am I glad I did - she is gorgeous and plays beautifully. Build quality according to many is better than current Gibsons...

I am going to replace the Dean ML I lost in Hurricane Katrina. I loved that guitar, although I think I am going to get the CFH this time around, I really dig the grafix on it, simple but catchy. R.I.P Dime!!!!

What ML did you have?

I have a couple of Deans from the '70s, a Z and a V. I wish I had a ML just to complete the set.

there are lots of great guitars... i think the key is 1) don't buy "brand"...buy what YOU like and what gives you the sound that YOU want. My fav is my Strat... then my PRS... then my Les Paul Studio. Though, the Ibanez is alot of fun (though the floyd rose is a pain to change strings). Ultimately, play alot and have fun! :D

Oh dude, I had the ML and the explorer, I just needed the V to complete. They were the Brazillian Sunburst, when I got home they were a nice shade of mold green!!!!!

Bummer. It was an older ML then? That would make it even worse.

If I were to buy a non Strat right now, I think it would be an Ibanez iceman. I've always liked the look of those guitars. Now I just have to find one in a 'burst finish!

Well my next guitar would probably be a gibson LP. I like the p90 pu in it, after hearing Luther Allison playing a Goldtop. I really am a Fender guy, so I'd like something with single coils. I usually post on the Telecaster forum. I already have a semihollow body guitar, the discontinued ES-347, with the most intense pu's, the Dirty Fingers humbuckers model with gold covers. This guitar has an unmatched sound that exceeds the ES-335, very jazzy.

Nope Eddie,

You are not the only one who does'nt like Les Pauls. I don't like them either or any other Gibson guitars for that matter. I do own a Gibson bass, but it was cheap and it gets the job done. I'll never spend any money on another Gibson.

A Gibson Firebird, or a Yamaha SA-2200.

(edit: I see that someone posted one above! They're really incredible guitars - the zenith of the classic semi-hollow.)

It's been said that you can capture most of the sounds/tones you need with four guitars:

Fender Stratocaster
Fender Telecaster
Gibson Les Paul
Gibson ES-335

If you bought the middle of the road American models, it would still set you back about $7,000.00.
