Gibson Les Paul Standard (preferably a Tabacco Sunburst lightly used '79 KM if I could get one).

For those that saw "Gone in 60 Seconds", that guitar is my Eleanor...

I would choose a Gibson ES-335. Have always liked them and love the sound of Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues! 8)
I know you asked about other than Fender but I'd like to complete my collection with a Tele Deluxe(MIA) like Snowy has!! Already have A MIA ash Deluxe strat and a Gilmour CS.

Besides my Strats, I have a Cyclone HH, a Squier M80 and a Fender Sonoran acoustic/electric.
Maybe one day an LP or a semi-hollow body....

Right now I only have my Fender HWY 1 Stratocaster and ESP LTD. I would like the New Gibson Les Paul with the FLoyd Rose tremelo on it, some day.

In the past I have owned a Mako Strat style, Jackson off set Flying V, Gibson Flying V (miss that one), Squire HM III (modified with a Warmoth Birds Eye Maple neck and Floyd Rose Pro Series) which was my workhorse until my HWY 1, Charvel Charvette, BC Rich NJ Warlock and a knock-off Fender I bought in Korea.

A Hollowbody PRS is the only other guitar I would consider. Actually, I take that back, it would be between that and a Turner Model I

I have several: 3 Teles (Hwy1, 68 Reissue Thinline and 72 Reissue Thinline) and an old Mustang (circa 1970) in the Fender world.

Outside that, I have a D'Armond/Guild M75T (inexpensive but, as a third year made model, they finally got it right ... too late), a Guild X150D (the ultimate big band era jazz box), Yamaha AES 500 semi-hollow (decent for rock-a-billy and some 335-ish jazz sounds) and a Gibson Vegas Special (great rhythm guitar; too "stiff" for lead for me anyway).

The Gibson is a small body semi-hollow as opposed to the Yamaha. Never have gotten an LP, though the M75T goes a long way toward serving the same purpose -- high output pups and a very heavy body with tons of sustain.

My MIJ Dean Soltero SL. It rocks even better than a Gibson Les Paul at half the price and with less weight to carry.

Also, I needed to post this message to achieve my 100th.

My goal when I started buying and playing guitars again 3 years ago was to own the four classics I grew up loving. I already had a Strat so I bought a Baja Tele, SG Special and Les Paul Studio. There, I'm done... or not. G.A.S. was way too much fun to stop there. :D

Yeah, what about a Gretsch hollowbody? Ah, look at that Epiphone Casino over there. I need more Strats and Teles! Now, what amp or amps should I buy to get the best sounds? I'm still searching and it has been an absolute blast.

John
