I like the pickguard on the red one.

Thanks I love that pick guard its actually made of Metal. Kinda wierd to feel the pick hit metal at first but it looks great on there.

I'm playing an American Stratocaster HSS, Sienna Sunburst, Rosewood (2003).

Actually I'm waiting 2.5 month for my new American VG Stratocaster, Black, Rosewood.

I want to find out if the sales guy totally worked me or only hosed me half-heartedly.
In '89 i bought my Black, locking-nut and tremolo, no pick guard, maple finish axe from a Guitar Center in San Fran. the serial is E then either a 3 or an 8 plus five more numbers. So, its either an 85 or 88, right?
well, the guy was a total tool and took advantage of my naivete- he unloaded a bent Bass case after i persuaded him to throw a case my way. also, he gave me a Bass cord. i also remember him taking the guitar upstairs for some reason, for several minutes. another guy told me he was copying the numbers.... i wondered.
is there a way to identify the specific parts that went into the making of my guitar? to find out if any were switched?
i know, it's been nearly 20 years and i'm just now trying to find out.

It may be more appropriate to admit what Strats have me.A honey blonde MIM Deluxe,a USA '62 re-issue,a MIM HSS Standard and a G&L Legacy.I thought I was a Les Paul man for years. Not anymore.

I've had my '86 Fender Lake Placid Blue J-Strat since, well 1986! It has gone through alot of changes - something I do dig about Fender Strats. It's a chameleon because it's changed so much - pickups, pickguards, block the trem, float the trem... right now I have Duncan 'Lil 59's in all 3 positions, five springs, no bar.
