My collection consists of

2005 American Deluxe Strate 3tone burst with rosewood fretboard
2006 American Deluxe Stat Amber with maple fretboard
2004 MIM Candy Apple Red Strat with rosewood fretboard

I also have a 2006 Epiphone G400 Goldtop
1998 Ovation Celebrity acoustic/electric natural finish

I really enjoy all of the Fender strat guitars.

They are easy to play, quality instruments that are built well.

I have two Strats, a 1998 Squier Strat, electron blue, with four springs in the trem and oem ceramic pickups. It's a backup. Believe I put 11s on it and in the process it got tweaked, with a screw now poking out of the trem. I'll need to take it over to Wild West to get it fixed and install either my old oem Highway One pickups if I'm feeling economical, or a set of SCNs, Area 58s, or Becks, since that would quiet it down. Need to get that pot fixed that's crackling, too and since the strings are now bigger than the puny frets, I'll have to back the strings down to 10s. I also might just give it to one of my kids as-is, just to learn on, but even for that it'll need to be fixed up a bit.

Taylor Big Baby acoustic. It's got a great wood smell, but my wife set it up with a super high action, to replicate a traditional instrument she plays. Oops. Guitars don't work that way.

My guitar is a 2006 Highway One Strat, wine transparent, with five springs in the trem and Custom Shop Texas Special pickups. It's got a nice low action and sounds like a million bucks.

"I'm curious, is it the price?"

In my case, yes. I'm intrigued by the flatter-radius neck. I could buy endless Strats and still want more because Fender makes so many different kinds. I've got one I really, really like to play though. I was auditioning a Gdec today and using a really brilliant guitar Fender just came out with. Mahogany body in a wine transparent color similar to my guitar, roller nut, ebony fingerboard. Beautiful! It was out of tune and I was playing a Gdec and so I couldn't really hear it, if you know what I'm saying, but that's a definite gottahaveit guitar at $999. The pickups I can do whatever I want with later, if needed. So, based on my desire to remain solvent, I can't go for every one I want. My humble guitar sounds great to me and is what I like.

Nice collection JAM76. I only own one strat, a completely stock 2006 olympic white American Standard with a rosewood neck that I can't keep my hands off of :).

Is the 4th Strat in the top picture the same as the Red one in the lower picture? It looks like Candy Tangarine. (BTW Cool Kurt Knucklebonez)
