ive been to a few shops and they all recommend different potions and polishes to clean the body and fretboard of a guitar.

to keep a guitar in the best condition possible, apart from wiping the strings down with a dry rag after playing, what is good to use on:

the body.

The fretboard.

The neck.

They are 3 very different areas so im unsure if the same compound could be used on them all.

I just use Dunlap 65 and a good lintless cloth, wipe everything down after playing. When you change strings, you can use a fretboard conditioner.

I also use Dunlop 65 for the body and neck. I use Gerlitz Guitar Honey on the fretboard at string changes.

I use that for the body and fretboard as mine are mostly maple....plus i would recommend to use the Meguiars micro fibre cloth as it picks up most of the dust particles that stick to the body...

For my other guitars i mainly use Dunlop 65( guitar polish & cleaner) for the body and apply Dunlop 01 cleaner and prep on the rosewood fretboard before i apply the Dunlop 65 lemon oil on it...
