Apoogies for my attempt at artsy photos.

I used to be ok at guitar but college wrecked all that and i havnt really played in 4-5 years. i used to be into metal but now am into blues. got the strat as i just wasnt feeling the blues through the ibanez. man, this baby makes even my crap little 10w practice amp sound bluesy!
I just have to learn to play the darn thing now and stop taking pictures of it!

Very nice! I'm guessing it's a Deluxe, but, what's the beautiful color?

Very nice.

It looks like an Amber American Deluxe - http://www.fender.com/products//search.php?partno=0101200720

giljanus is correct Play3r, its an Amber Strat Deluxe with rosewood fretboard and SSS pickup configuration. I wanted a fixed bridge but played one of these in a local musicstore and fell in love with it. i tried tele's afterwards, but this was the guitar for me!

Wow. Your first Strat, and you went straight for the Deluxe. You don't mess around! 8)

as stated previous i getting back into playing after a few years away from it, and now that im into blues, i just cant seem to enjoy blues on the ibanez. doesnt feel right.

I was in a new music store in the area to check it out. i have been considering a squier for a while as i just wanted some form of strat/tele to mess with blues on.

I decided to compare squiers to american standards to deluxe's. I was expecting bugger all difference but between an american standard and a squier theres a huge difference. i hate to say it, as it sounds pretentious, but it "feels" better. on closer inspection the neck was definately nicer, the american sounded better, was set up better, was a nicer weight, was finished better. loads of small differences that all add up.

i played the american standard and a deluxe and just fell in love with the deluxe. i wanted originally a fixed bridge but the deluxe strat just felt right. thats all i can say. it was about 500 euro more expensive than the standard, but i found an online store that could provide it to me for the same price as an american standard ( prices in europe that is).

totally worth it. Thanks for all the kind words, it really is a beauty, still contemplating a name. never felt the need to name a guitar but the fender seems to warrant a name. means il have to name my old guitar also so it wont feel left out!

it may be overkill to have a deluxe first go off, and not being very good ( yet) but screw it, college forced me to give up guitar, now that i have a moderately decent job, I feel i should enjoy the fruits of my labour!
