I came across one today for $300. E series. It's a little beat up but not to bad. I can't belive how good this thing sounds. Is $300 a good price?

I hear the Japanese strats are a GREAT value and VERY fine guitars. And since $300 is about $100 less than the old 2008 MiM Std., I'd say you got a sick deal! :D

C'mon now, don't be shy, post some pics eh? :D

I haven't bought it yet. I'm also looking at a K series one. I haven't played that one yet and I think it's $400. If I but one of them I'll post pics.

Excellent deal on the E. They are great guitars for the money.

Ok so I went and played both and bought neither. The E series for some reason just gives me a unesay feeling. It's got a single ply pick guard, the saddles are the bent type but do not say Fender, the tuners are Goth(not that Goth's are bad), there's some checking and the PU's have flat pole pieces which tells me it's the cheaper version. None of those things are big deals but for some reason I'm just unsure. Oh yeah I talked them down to $275 but I'm thinking if GC will let it go for that then there must be something wrong. That's why I'm uneasy. The guitar sounds really good to me.

The K seires is going for $550. I think it's a reissue and a non export. Here's why. The neck plate is stamped Fender and the Serial # is at the base of the neck. It does not have the skunk stripe. The saddles are stamped Fender. The truss rod adjustment is at the base of the neck (the E series one is the same), It's got a three ply pick guard. It's got a rose wood neck and the PU"s are staggered. It sounds really good as well but I don't want to pay $550.

If anyone out there could educate me on either that would be great!
