Hello to all Strat fans! I am new to all this , and have questions, that hopefully you Strat guys can answer for me! I have a Strat Standard, in white... I want to put on gold accents: tuning keys, tremolo, tremolo cover, input jack, strap knobs, etc. I have heard that tremolo in gold won't work with the Standard... nor will the tuning keys...how true is this and if it is, is their anyway around it? What I am looking for in the end is a white Strat with all gold hardware.
P l e a s e .... HELP!
Nick

Exactly what strat standard do you have, mexican, american? Also what bridge do you have vintage 6-point or modern 2-point?

You can get those parts in gold. I take it your strat standard is mexican and has the vintage style bridge and not the modern 2-point??? Probably what they mean is american parts won't fit, which is right, they won't, only the bridge though. But you can get a gold metric bridge.

You can also make an american vintage bridge work, but it's gonna take alot of work that you might not want to have done, like take off original bridge, fill in holes, redrill for the new bridges holes, it can get pretty tricky, but it will work.

As for the tuners, you might need to get some sleeves, that is if you want to use the vintage kluson tuners. Your original holes will be alittle too big.

Do you know about how much a Gold metric bridge would be. I'l check eBay and other sites too though. Also, where can I find tuner sleeves and ow much are they? Thanks!

Here's the link for those adapters (sleeves), their nothing but replacement bushings for the klusons.

Scroll to the very bottom of the page and what your looking for is the last three products.

I can't seem to find the site that I saw those metric bridges on, but they're out there. Ebay is a good idea, especially to keep the price down.
