This guitar is going to get me into a lot of trouble.. I don't usually get all emotional over instruments I've never played but from what I can tell this is going to be an incredible guitar- A Custom Shop Strat based on my favorite year for the Strat. SRV anyone?

To my knowlege Fender has never made a reissue of the '59-'60 transition Strats (at least not for any reasonable amount of money). Very, very cool.

I`m a big SRV fan and have a Strat set up with Texas Special pups that I love to play. If your that passionate about that guitar then get it because nothing else will make you happy. You only go around once so do what it takes to make your day more enjoyable. I`m disabled from a job injury, if it weren`t for my guitar and art work I would have lost my sanity long ago.

There are '59 Thin Skin reissues that would be less expensive option than a Custom Shop '59. Dave's Guitar Shop (LaCrosse Wisc) has them, in either rosewood fingerboard or maple neck. Check 'em out.

I just ordered my CS One-off from MakenMusic. Great people and top notch customer service. I ordered mine based on the Time Machine 56, NOS. It has similar specs to the 59/60 they offer however, I made some big changes. I ordered mine in lightweight ash in Bing Cherry transparent instead of alder. I also got a AA flame neck and requested no undercoat, etc. It's nitro from the wood out. If any of you are considering ordering a CS strat or tele, do yourselves a favor and get it from MakenMusic, I have yet to find better customer care.
