Hey guys,

I was hoping someone on here could give me some good advice. I own a Lite Ash stratocaster but I haven't played it in a few weeks. I recently went to plug my guitar into my amp and to my surprise, there was no sound coming from the amp. So I plugged in my other guitar to check if it was the amp or the cord, but the amp worked fine. So the problem was the strat.
I unscrewed the input jack cover and looked at the wiring. There are 2 wires attached to jack (one black and one white). I found out that the white wire is about to snap!

What should I do? I'm still under the Fender warranty, does it cover this type of thing?

HELP! :(

Take it to a fender tech center they will fix it ..... it isnt really a big deal you can even do it urself but it would be better if you take it to them .... :)

Never fear! Yes, it's covered under the warranty.

FWIW, if you know someone who truly knows how to solder, (s)he can solve your problem in a matter of seconds as would the warranty center. Be advised though that the warranty center might make you leave it there until they can get around to it.

Like I said, the actual repair job done by a competent tech only takes a matter of seconds. Some facilities will do it on the spot and others won't.

Theres nothing to be scared of... I know you love your strat but it is really a simple thing that can be easily fixed ... if you send it for repair I am guessing it will at most take a day... :)
