Just broke the high e on my american strat and attempted to put another one on. Got in on all good but the bridge is higher than it was before and it is very hard to bend up on the string. Just got this guitar a few weeks ago. Anybody know whats up?

Not exactly sure what that would be. Is the high E string saddles higher now for some reason, or is the whole bridge unit not seated right on the bottom screw, making the whole bridge off.

If it's just the saddle, you can adjust that with an allen wrench, though I'm not sure why it would change "that" much if you just change a string, though it's not impossible.

Shoot a pic if you can. It could be a lot of things.

Yeah, just lower the saddle at the bridge and you will be fine :)
