I spent days with my father discussing this subject. We listened and studied each one's abilities and still haven't been able to decide. So I am opening this poll to see which gets the best review. Thanks for your support, and GOD BLESS!!!

SRV passed away years ago & Hendrix has been gone for decades
But the impact they left has been so great that it will be talked of forever. Thankfully Eric is still making great music to this day & people were singing his praises before SRV & Hendrix's claims to fame. I could not possibly vote for one of these over the other, although SRV is my personal favorite. These guys are definetely the greatest to wield a strat & I would go as far as to say the best to play any guitar for that matter.

I had the pleasure of seeing Clapton and SRV numerous times. Based solely on those experiences, SRV gets my vote. The guitar seemed to be like an extension of his body (like another limb). His performance left an everlasting impression on me and will always be my favorite. Thanks Stevie!

That is tough call...

Hendrix took the electric guitar to uncharted territory.

SRV at a time, he brought back electric blues to mainstream radio while still paying homage to it's African/American roots. His tone, & muscle on the Strat. was awesome.

Clapton has had great pop success.

It is just a matter of your taste.

P.S. It was cool you could pick two under the poll.

No, she's better playing a flute.

[quote="wackadoo"]I spent days with my father discussing this subject.

Might as well compare Aston Martins, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Masseratis

Yep -- or maybe a poll comparing tuna salad, chicken salad, and turkey salad. I never really get these threads...

I voted Jimi Hendrix then after after him i would say Eric. I did like SRV but I cant say that I think he is one of the greatest because there are just to many I think were and are better. Just cant jump in on the SRV lovefest even though many think he was the best not me .
