Post subject: Problems with The neck

I've had problems with my neck on my strat for quite awhile i've had the truss rod tweaked and all that good stuff but i still have a buzz on the 15th fret anything i can do to fix this

Mike,

Of course there are things that can be done to fix it.

Without the guitar in hand, it's simply an educated guess at this point. Yet, based on your complaint and premising that the string is good, it may be that the 15th fret needs to be crowned or the 16th and maybe even the 17th frets are high and have to be taken down a bit. It could also be a high patch of wood or finish in between the 15th and 16th frets. My immediate guess would be that the 16th fret is high.

Don't mess with frets if you don't know what you are doing!

thanks for the info on that, the strange thing that i can't figure out is it only buzzes on the 15th fret on the d string, i have all the saddles even, and the guitar is setup good i just can't get the buzz out
