Actually the markers are on the top/side of the fretboard.

FWIW I found out that the fastest way to learn how to play a fretless stringed instrument is to do so by hearing. Looking at markers will actually delay your progress IMHO.

The whole guitar is custom made in texas.

Cheers and good luck

Hi Hisham: yes, I thought I'd never seen a pickguard that shape before.

It looks very nice to me. Cello-meets-Strat or somesuch. I'm finding that ebony fingerboard very enticing: tell me, is it just my eyes or is that wider than the usual Fender neck?

One more thing: very cheeky of me even to mention it, but please would you put the top e string back on the right saddle?

Cheers man - C

Hisham,
Do you use a bow of any kind or just your fingers or a pick to play?

Rick

Hi Rick
I just use a normal pick. Sometimes i can use my nails on the fretboard like a Sarod, it gives it a very peculiar sound but it hurts and gets hot after some time.
Cheers

Here is my homade job, 1st attempt.
She does the job, maynot be all that pretty but she works.
I used an Ibanez body assorted parts and a generic neck.
Sanded her down refinished it lightly and threw some D'Addario Chromes on.

Hi Ceri
Yes it is broader than usual .. I have large fingers.

I was actually experimenting with different tuning when the string broke .. will do what you said .. just give me a day or two to finish off with this set ... experimenting is nice hehehe

Cheers
