Any suggestions for where to get this done? I am playing a 93 Strat Ultra and have over the years changed out the neck lace sensor to a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB(which I love) and more recently the neck pick up to a Seymour Duncan STK - Classic Stack Plus(which I don't like much). The mid p/u is still the original lace sensor.

I like the toggle on the bridge p/u so I can switch to single coil mode.

No one has ever really understood the original wiring so I no longer have the TBX control and my bridge p/u only has 2 way toggle instead of the original 3 way toggle.

Bottom line is I have a feeling that things are not 100% the way they should be.

I figure instead of changing out for another p/u, I might just replace the whole set up.

Would like to keep the JB in the bridge. I am looking for a SRV type tone from the neck pick up, maybe the Seymour Duncan Texas Hot? Not sure about the middle p/u b/c I never use it alone.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Look into the EMG website and see if any of their pre-wired pickguards meet your needs.

I am not really looking for an active pickup. I already have a guitar with EMG 81's which are good but the JB is the best pickup that I have experienced and really want to at least stick with that.

Do you use one of the EMG prewired pickguards? The Gilmour set up sounds interesting but I really don't like worrying about the batteries.

BTW, my band plays:

Old school Rush
Led Zep
Sabbath
Ozzy
Nugent

all of which work well with the JB.

We also play some SRV and Hendrix and that is the tone I am looking for from a new neck pick up.

My amps are a Fender Low Power Tweed Twin Reissue and/or a Marshall JCM2000 DSL plus various pedals.

At one time I owned a '97 American Standard Ash with a DG-20. I resolved the battery issue by placing it in the center of the trem rout in place of the center spring.

With respect to active electronics, I presently own an '89 Clapton.
