Whats the thought on left handed neck on right handed guitars? It always looked cool for Hendrix.
Will any Fender strat neck fit on on strat body or are they mods to make?

The necks, lefty or righty, are generally interchangeable. So if you stick with Fender (or one of the makers of higher quality replacement necks, but not Squier), you should have no problem switching out necks.

Would it better to just buy a lefty and re-string it?

Well, yes, that is a good route for a Hendrix kind of thing.

You need to flip the nut around and reintonate it.

Oh, yeah, you may also need to rewire the control knobs if the lefty you get has them "going the wrong way." You'll know that right away!

Is it pretty difficult to reach the higher frets with the contour of the body in the way.

Jimi didn't mind.
Of course, he had HUGE hands. Check out what he could do with his thumb alone!

You will have to pull out the front strap holder and drill/place it on the other bout. Not a big deal.

I'm a Lefty, btw. I've played righty guitars and - you make due. How often do you solo past the 17th fret anyway?
If you do go way up the neck a lot, well, then yes, you might just want to get a righty guitar and put a lefty neck on it (and the new nut).

My son plays righty so we're talking about buying mirror image guitars and flipping 'em over.

Love,
Todd

Oh, yeah, I forgot that bit. You will notice in my picture above that there are straplocks on the tips of both horns!

You know what, I hadn't noticed that before. I just admired the guitar. Pretty cool.
I have a Lefty Delux which looks an awful lot like that guitar.

Love,
Todd

Did either you have alter your right hand position, because of the controls?

I alter my arm position so that my forearm doesn't rest on the controls.

My hand position is still pretty much the same thing, resting on the bridge.

Not really, because I palm mute a lot. I usually keep the trem arm off, though. Hendrix would adjust the volume with the top of his thumb (farthest from the nail, closest to the wrist - on the meaty part).

Love,
Todd

I have a thing for reverse headstock guitars. I've been told it's weird. :)

Ya, it's wierd. But it's also cool. Nice figuring on the back of that neck, btw.
And how heavy are the strings you use - I see that you use all 5 springs?

Love,
Todd
