That's funny. I can't possibly choose a favorite Beatles song, but I immediately thought of "Mr. Moonlight" as the worst Beatles song. I guess I'm not the only one!

Hard to name one fave but when pressed I usually say In My Life. To be in your mid 20's and write a song from the perspective of an older person looking back at ones life was pretty cool I always thought.

I previously responded (Revolution), but two other so-far-unmentioned Beatles songs which I love to play are

I Dig A Pony

and

Get Back.

My band did play "Come Together" at times. (To good reception too!)

You want me to choose just one Beatles song? Don't be silly: I can't even choose just one album.

Oh well: today - If I Needed Someone (on Rubber Soul).

Ask me again tomorrow...

Cheers - C

Way too many to choose from. My favorite Beatles guitar songs are:

Revolution - I just love the raw, distorted sound. Fun to play.

Strawberry Fields Forever - Especially at the beginning after the mellotron intro. Haunting and eerie. I think this is that short time period where John, Paul and George all had Strats.

"I Am The Walrus"

But, the first song I ever learned on the guitar (back in 1977) was,
"Day Tripper"

My son, also a guitarist, learned how to read, write, and add by listening to the Beatle albums. How cool is that? And what was his favorite song? You'll never guess...
"Mr. Moonlight"

Ya, wierd.

Love,
Todd

You Never Give Me Your Money

White Album fans should check out the latest show from NPR's All Songs Considered (available on their website). It's all about the history and demos behind the White Album.
