A few years back, i bought my first electric, a second-handed Stratocaster at a local music store.
I tested a few guitars, and it came down to two options. Either a red epi (i think) or this one. My cousin, who's been playing guitar for 12 years or so, told me he absolutely loved the fender, and said it was "like a champagne at the price of a soda", so i bought it. Thing is, I've got no clue to what kind of fender it is, except that it's a strat. It's
Black, /w black pickguard
Floyd Rose II Tremolo (/w stringlock)
Two single coils
One humbucker (bridge pos)
Volume knob, Five-way switch and (here's the one i haven't figured)
only ONE tone knob. All the strats i've seen on the site have two.

Also, i believe it has a rosewood neck, due to it's color

It doesn't have a stamp etc that says where it's made, but i've figured that out by the serial.
So anyone mind helping me find out what kinda model this is? Price, and all other info is appreciated

Norwegian indeed :D
4000 NOK, at the time around 600$ - currency has been changing a lot recently, as of now 567$
Edit: wow i didn't even tell you the serial and you figured which country it's from
MN3120061 - Mexican '93 or '94... rumors has it the 1 in mn31 means it's high quality, but not top...
According to the pdf i found on-site on mexican standard strat, it's supposed to have two tone knobs, like i said earlier, mine's only got one... why is that? did the previous owner remove one? why would anyone do that?

Its been modded to 1 master tone control by a previous owner i expect. The black pickguard is a mod also.

Dont believe the BS about the number system it was disproved in so many ways you couldnt count them all.

I seem to remember a Japanese Strat that came stock with 2 knobs, not 3. If it is Made in Japan, it may be a stock set up. I am not sure tho.

I'm curious, where did you hear that rumor? Was it this site?

Think about this: if you take away the M, N, 3, & 1, that only leaves 5 digits for a "production number" ... Fender Mexico certainly puts out more than 100,000 instruments in any year.
