We need much more info, type of music you play, what tone you are looking for, etc...

Squier pickups. The best around, for every single person, and every single style - they're the best for absolutely anything you'll ever want to play.

Get them now. Fast.

Id recommend a set of EMG SA's and if you want a gumbucker pickup in the bridge you can match the SA's with an EMG 81.... :)

Don't listen to Dgonz, he hasn't had his meds today.
It's all about Danelectro pickups in your Strat or Tele.

Psh, you both lie. We all know that Wal-Mart-First-Act pickups really take the cake for EVERYTHING.

But seriously...passive-Seymour Duncan-Singlecoil P-90 soapbar all the way. My personal favorite, I think they have a super-hot sound to them. Although you may feel otherwise. All comes down to your musical preference. (Although I'm probably the only guy who uses single coils for EVERYTHING.)

My geetar sounds best with an east-west bar magnet with 18 gauge speaker wire wrapped around it. Gotta use a 10k pot though.

How do you like the Super-Sonic Rocker? Besides loud.

We'd also need to know what amp you use, how much gain do you dial in, and what pedals?

Usually I would recommend a low output pickup, but if you never play clean and are a high gain nut, then a high output pickup might be best.

Search the Forum Archives for all posts on "Pickups". There's a lot of reading to do, and it will also spare much repetition

1: Dimarzio
2: Lace Sensors
3: Seymore Duncan
4: EMG's
5: Fender

These are in no particular order. Most of these makers have websites. Dimarzio also allows you to hear some of their different models. You have to decide what you are looking for. Metal cruching sound vs. classic bluesy sound. Country or Rock.

Fender makes great pickups, with many too choose from. If you are not sure, that is a very good place to start.

Also, what is your situation that makes you think you need pickups?
