Hi, everyone.

I just wanted to see if anyone had some information or where I can info on the famous 1972 Fender Stratocaster. From what I understand that this the model that Yngwie has used for most of his life.

Anyway, here's the reason why I'm curious.

I'm planning on going up to Red Wing, MN to learn guitar building and repair. One of the main projects is to build your very own electric guitar.

I have in mind to build a strat but not sure what year to base mine of off. Or does it really matter!? Well, I figure right now it's going to be on the 72.

Here's what I got for ideas.

Wood - Basswood
Neck - Maple
Pickups - Neck - Seymour Duncan Hot Rail
Middle Seymour Duncan Hot Rail
Bridge Seymour Duncan JB. JR

Bridge - Standard Tremolo wiht Piezo pickups. I'm thinking of using Fishman's right now unless anyone have information on that too.

For Finish I'm just going to go with a solid black or solid blue along with a cool pickguard. Not sure what desing. I'm thinking going with Pearloid.
And I'm going to be using Dimarzio Clip Lock straps.

I'm just curious about the info on the strat and what you guys think of the setup.
