Ran into a problem to find a lefthand guitar yet when bought acoustics. But found, thus good.
On an official site Fender saw a few lefthand guitars, but it, as a rule, standard models.
Exists in nature in general lefthand Fender Eric Clapton Custom Shop Stratocaster?
Or even simply Artist Series. Also lefthand saw none.

Thanks.

I have a Lefty American Delux Strat (2002) and Tele American Standard ('95). I've never checked for Lefty artist's series guitars. I love these guitars, though. Their necks are amazing.

It's not really helpful but, Hendrix didn't mind using a flipped righty guitar. A flipped Clapton would be rather ironic, wouldn't it?

Love,
Todd

Yes, I understand. Thought thus it is possible to come nearer to Claptons sounding as much as possible close...

Ya, I just checked out the Fender site and not one of the artist guitars is listed as coming Lefty.
That means it's gonna cost some money to make a Clapton-like Strat.
You could probably have one special ordered for you with the Fender Custom Shop. Or you could buy the Strat closest to the Clapton and buy the parts yourself and just make one.
I think the trickiest mod to make would be the preamp. But the parts are there.

Love,
Todd

How do you think, what Strat is the closest?

Well much of the difference between the Clapton model and the American Standard and Deluxe models has to do with the electronics. Vintage noiseless pickups, mid-range boost, and the SBX (not sure if those initials are right) circuit. You can get a pickguard in your favorite colour and just load it with the proper electronics.
The tremelo is blocked so the guitar won't go out of tune when you break a string. You can do that many ways - there was just a post about it so please look that up.
The problem is the neck. The new Clapton model has a V shaped neck and the Standard/Deluxe models have a C shaped neck.
If you prefer the C shape, it's acually a plus.
If you want the acurate neck, I THINK that different years have different neck shapes. Not sure where to find that info. But you may be able to buy a recent year guitar to get the proper V shape.
I'll go see if I can find anything else out.

Love,
Todd

It looks like your best bet is a '57 Vintage Strat with a "Clapton" pickguard - I.E. a pickguard loaded with the Clapton model electronics. Otherwise, you may have to have it made special by the Fender Custom Shop or a luthier like Todd Krause. That would be more expensive and you won't get the Clapton signature with it. Don't know if that matters to you.
This answer comes from another forum stream about a green 1988 Clapton strat. I've been asking questions (as if it were me to avoid confusion). Look at it too to fill in some holes I may have left in the above message. Good luck and rock on.

Love,
Todd

Hey guys, check out Southpwaw Guitars. They have "lefty" Clapton Strats in stock! They're a very reputable music store. I have friends in the Houston area that recommened them to me. http://www.southpawguitars.com/

First - I'm just dazzled by the sight of 3 consecutive Lefty Strats pictured above!

Next, I forgot about the Lefty guitar store. Fender says it doesn't make the Lefty Clapton on this site. I didn't even think to check.

As always, thanks for more information. If I live long enough, I'll get pretty smart with you guys around.

Love,
Todd

The guitar by definition is right handed. It seems obvious to me that you understand, by now, that one can order a southpaw stratocaster to those specs but it will not carry the 'moniker' any longer.

Doc
