One other question as I'm trying to bring this strat back to life. It's a 2003 MIM strat. The pickups flop around and want to pop out. The screws that hold the pickups in are kind of loose like they're not biting into anything. Anyone know how to remedy this? Is there suppose to be something on the other side of the pickguard that the screws go into? I only have experience with les pauls where the screws go through a spring and then into the pickup. Moving the screws back and forth raises and lowers the pickups. Is this not how strat pickups adjust?

Thank you.

Unfortunately the pickup base is plastic, so the screw holes are probably stripped.

You could also be missing the pickup springs, which is causing them to flop in and out like that.

Not only am I betting on it being the springs, I'll bet they're under the pickguard.
