Where is this model number located on a guitar?

The would be the letters on the front that say "Stratocaster"

You mean the serial number then.

Hi Stelomax. Lot's of 013- model numbers on this page:

ceri, his model number is 013-1000-302; right near the top of the list. That's a blue, MIM "60's Stratocaster" in the Classics series.

[Sound of palm slapping on forehead] D'UH! Thank you Orville: I feel pretty stupid now.

I typed the full number including the -302 suffix into "find on page" and of course got a negative response. I was just too dull-witted to glance a couple of inches down the page at the second item on the list! Thank goodness someone round here is awake!

I'll just go off for a minute and ask my wife to slap me hard in the face a few times to wake me up...

I bet your wife will not think it's a good idea to be slapping you upside the head!

Someone above asked if the model number is on the guitar somewhere. I believe the answer is no. Sometimes, you can match up the body's part number with a particular model, but not always. The model number will be on the hang tag that has the inspection signatures.
