What "history" are you looking to find out, other than the year it was made?

Would you like to know about Jeremy that finished the neck, and how his two kids are today? Maybe how all the other "cousins" of this guitar are today, and where they're playing perhaps?

(just foolin)

I cant find any info on it. If you could tell us the country of manufacture or post some pictures it would help.

And so another Knopfler song is written...

With the timber theme, let's call this one Telegraph Pole.

Hi Stelomax. Lot's of 013- model numbers on this page:

http://www.fender.com/support/wiring_di ... _lists.php

But my "find on this page" function could not discover your exact number. You are welcome to go through it with a fine tooth comb yourself, if you like.

You could also check the full price list:

http://www.fender.com/resources/priceli ... e_list.pdf

The first column is the model numbers. Again you'll have to do that one yourself. I am sometimes a little bored with my life... but not that bored!

Cheers - C

ceri, his model number is 013-1000-302; right near the top of the list. That's a blue, MIM "60's Stratocaster" in the Classics series.

Of course, his serial number will tell him the year it was made.

And if he wants more detail, he'll have to take it apart to see the dates the neck and the body were made.

Very cool. How do you know it's blue though? I'm interested to know that.

The last two digits, 02, are the color code. That's Lake Placid Blue.
Check out the parts list for that parts number and look at the body numbers/colors.

More detail: the 013 means Mexico.
The 3 (in 302) means no case. Other case options are 5 (gig bag),
7 (case), 8 (deluxe case), IIRC.
