When I made the jump from accoustic to electric guitar, I think the thing I liked the best is how easy (feel) a strat is to play, compared to other electrics I played. Also the guitar body molds right into my own body, and feels very comfortable.

I play with a friend who has an Gibson ES-333, and he's a hardcore Gibson guitar player, but when he played my strat, he was amazed at how easy it was to play. He told me the feel was much more superior than his Gibson. Like I said, he's a hardcore Gibson player (he also owns a Less Paul), so he won't switch to Fender, no matter what.........well, maybe if someone gave him one for free.

Hello Cocojumbo78,

There's plenty of other really great guitars,
and I've played lots of them over the years,
The Fender Stratocaster just fits so nicely.
The original contour body is quite a design.

Cheers

I love the tones my '77 Strats make when I dig in and shake 'em.
Nothing better - except of course, if Jimi Hendrix were doing it.

Love,
Todd

And I like each of my Strats for different reasons.
And there are so many OTHER Strats to play and so little time...

Love,
Todd

It depends on what they say. When I pick up a guitar and it speaks to me, I know it's mine.

CAFeathers - and as a Lefty, we have less choices. Lefty guitars are usually left in the corner gathering dust at the guitar stores.

Love,
Todd

The neck pickup through my Blues Jr. sounds like heaven, and Olympic White on Maple looks like an angel.....
