Emaj or Cmaj.
They get used loads.

Seriously whirlwind are decent. I'm currently hooked on planetwaves. I use 2 of their cables and they've lasted me 3 years plus.

The umbilical cord. Everyone has used one at least once.

Of course you can always go wireless and eliminate a lot of problems, including getting electrocuted.

Yeah wireless is one of the best options too... the longer the cable the less gain your guitar's signal will have so that also affects your power... if you do go wireless that problem dissapears .... I have a wireless senheiser kit too and like how it keeps the signal strong from the beggining to the end .... :D

I use the fender premium platinum cables and although they sound awesome they tend to get into tiny coils and get tripped over - I guess due to me moving around, but also cos the cable is so thick it doesn't want to go straight!

There are several companies that use Canare or Belden cable--or you can buy those & make your own. I've never had trouble with them.

Monster cables are overpriced.

The best brands are horribly expensive. I have had good look with Monsters.

There is an old expression about cables - they all go bad.

What kind of Monsters did you get 3 for 10? My 12ft Monster cables were 40.00 each and I think my 21ft was like 50.00

Whatever brand I get I like Braided cables cause they don't get tangled as easy.

Planet waves.
I bought a 5m lead 3 years ago for £30. It just developed a break near the plug. I undid one screw, pulled the plug off, snipped 2 inches off the end, pushed the plug back on and away i went. So fast a repair i could of done it between songs. Their also quite well shielded.

Two of them have the gold ends and one has black ends. All three were marked "Rock" and the price tags on them were all over $42.99, and I think that was GCs price tag, which is usually a discount from MSRP.

I did get real lucky that day.

I don't know anything about electric guitars. I buy cords from the local music shops and some are great, but wear out soon and I've got one that looks like it's been rebuilt and the solder broke. Maybe I need to buy them from companies online or wait until I get to a big city and buy some.
