Life Without You by Stevie Ray Vaughan is pretty awesome, very soulful.

Blue on Black by Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Nice use of an Octavia.
La Grange by ZZ Top. Love the pinched harmonics.

"Rocky Mountain Way" Joe Walsh. It's my warm up song for slide.
"Reeling In The Years" Steely Dan. It's just so much fun to play.
"Open Invitation" Carlos Santana. It's my warm up song for soloing.

Anything by Jimi Hendrix.
I read that Jimi liked to split his solos into 4 parts - each part (usually 12 bars, I believe) had a different feel. The obvious example is, "All Along The Watchtower". Brilliant.

Love,
Todd

Comfortably Numb
Bell Bottom Blues
November Rain
Fall to Pieces
While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Frampton version.

I can go on and on too, but those are top of my list today. Ask me tomorrow, hehe.

Right now I can't get enough of Many Shades of Black by the Raconteurs.
I'm also really digging the solo on Unforgiven 3. think it's one of the more soulfull solo's Hammet has crafted.

I know these may be obscure, except the last... but listen if you haven't heard them and tell me they're no good...

John Frusciante w/ Omar Rodriguez-Lopez - Anne (from Curtains)
Oceansize - Women Who Love Men Who Love Drugs (from Effloresce)
E.C. - Crossroads (Live '05)

God, where to begin?

My all time favorite would have to be Jimi's All Along the Watchtower solo, especially the slide part. Some of favorites of mine:

Jimmy Page-Achilles Last Stand
Jimi Hendrix-Bold as Love
Jimi Hendrix-Machine Gun (Band of Gypsies Album)
Stairway to Heaven, of course.

To me, Hendrix is God, so I pretty much adore everything he has done. I'm not into the flash and craziness of people like Vai, Satriani, Petrucci etc.
