First of all I want to say hello to everyone, since I am new here.

Second I have one question and I hope that someone here will know the answer.
I have bought Fender Classic Series 70' Stratocaster. Guitar has three single coils and it sounds great, but I want to put a humbucker in the bridge position. I heard that some (or perhaps all) Stratocasters have drilled holes for HSH configuration on body and that is the pickguard that holds the pickups still, so that should mean that I would be able to put a humbucker in the bridge position and to put a HSS configuration pickguard.

So, my question is, is this true and is this the case with all Stratocasters (to be more precise, is this also the case with my guitar)?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Fenrir,

Firstly welcome to the forums.

About your guitars rout, just take off the
pickguard and you'll know for sure. If your
a bit handy pickup installation should be easy.

Take pictures and show us, everybody likes a photo.

Cheers.
